Emergency Dentist Moorooka

At Dental Health Centre, we understand that dental accidents and emergencies can happen at any unplanned time. Because of this we strive to give our emergency patients the first possible appointment and may be able to provide after hour appointments if our dentists are available. Please call us on (07) 3848 8002 to inform us of your dental emergency and have one of our trained receptionist inform you of the next step you must take.

See below for some fast tips and advice during a dental emergency:
Dental Trauma
If the tooth has been knocked out of the socket, try to implant the tooth back in its socket the correct way, holding it only by the crown. Pick up the tooth by the crown of the tooth and avoid touching the root, if unable to put back into socket, store in cold milk or in the cheek sulcus of the injured and see a dentist immediately. Please call us on (07) 3848 8002

Tooth pain
Dental Health Centre usually reserves appointments each day for dental emergencies. Please avoid taking aspirin for a toothache as prolonged bleeding may occur in case of extraction. Panadol and Ibuprofen are the recommended analgesics. Follow health professional and manufacturer’s advice as normal, never take more the recommended dosage or apply the aspirin directly to the tooth. Please call us on (07) 3848 8002

Sensitivity
A patient may usually resolve this issue with sensitive toothpaste, however, there may be more reasons to why your teeth are sensitive. A check-up at the dentist should be organised to find out the cause and a tailored solution to your sensitivity. Please call us on (07) 3848 8002
