Who can get CDBS support?

- Your family receives a qualifying Australian Government payment, such as Family Tax Benefit Part A or certain other allowances
- Log in to your myGov account linked to Medicare, or
- Call the Medicare helpline on 132 011 (available 24/7)
Explaining the $1,132 cap
Every eligible child has access to up to $1,132 in dental benefits over a two-year period.
Here’s how it works:
- The two-year cycle begins once your child receives their first CDBS service.
- Example: If their first appointment is in March 2025, the benefit period lasts until December 2026.
- Any unused amount from the first year automatically rolls over into the second year (as long as your child is still eligible).
- When the two years finish, a new benefit cap may be available if your child qualifies again.
